Associate Professor @ University of Florida
I am a tenured Associate Professor at the University of Florida. My academic and professional journey has taken me across civil engineering, industrial engineering, economics, AI, and robotics, giving me a broad perspective on how technology can shape the physical world and society. I am especially interested in problems that sit at the intersection of disciplines, where new ideas, tools, and ways of thinking can come together to create meaningful change.
As an engineer, I enjoy turning ideas into real systems and solutions; as an explorer, I am drawn to emerging challenges and new frontiers, from the environments we build on Earth to places beyond it; and as an educator, I value learning alongside students and helping them develop the curiosity, confidence, and skills to pursue ambitious ideas of their own.
Ultimately, I hope my work can contribute, in some small but lasting way, to expanding what people are able to build, understand, and achieve.
